Preheat the oven to 200C. Toss the turnips and carrots with olive oil, italian seasoning, salt and pepper
Spread out on a baking sheet, leaving space between the vegetables so they roast. If they are too close together they will steam
Roast the vegetables for 25-30 mins until tender and beginning to brown. Shake the pan a couple of times during baking period

Think of potatoes and you'll get an idea of the many uses for turnips. You can prepare them on their own or use a blend of turnips, potatoes, and/or other root vegetables.
